Spring has Sprung Summer(FINALLY)

We have had the first signs of spring(even though it is already summer) this week. The weather has been amazing giving us the chance to go for nice walks and heating the hot tub just a little for "swimming"!




Beautiful weather means a mandatory trip/hike down to the creek that runs behind our neighborhood! Its all about throwing the rocks in!

I think a smaller, more travel friendly wrap was perfect! So I thought I would try it out and I love the results!





This last weekend I spent time crafting, shopping, watching movies and friends re-runs, sleeping and eating; sushi, chipotle, five guys and steak!(oh, did I mention it was my birthday sunday??) Anyway, here are a few pics!

The Crowe family came over for dinner, and the boys and I played in the hot tub before dinner!

Fast Fun Cards

I whipped these cards really fast a couple months ago, I just found them and thought I should do a quick post about them now!
All I did was trace the shapes and cut them out. Then I gently made small tears about 1/4 inch apart all around the edges! Happy Crafting!

Georgia, Storms & Rain Boots!

Over the last two weeks Georgia has been blessed with quite a few rainstorms! We needed the rain so badly (we are in a drought you know!) and I can actually enjoy a good storm if I don't have to be out in it! I did however decide rain boots would be VERY practical and cute! I am very excited to live in a time when you can find a "pretty" version of almost anything! I think these are perfect!

Fun*Practical*Project

I few months back I set out to find the perfect jewelry storage. I struggled, I also needed a good travel solution since I never know what jewelry I want to wear until the moment presents itself. And I wanted to be able to see everything to make the best decision. After searching I decided I could make the best and most creative solution. This is what I ended up with.


It ties over a hanger for easy access, both at home and on the road.

Hello New Friend

I just ordered this new toy(with a different lens)! I am so excited! I've recently spent all my free time doing a good bit of research and I can't wait to take the first pictures!!

25 random things

1. I am so grateful for the mercy and grace I am given everyday!
2. I want to travel, but don't take the time to plan a trip.
3. I love photography, but I don't take very many pictures. I think I blame it on having a camera I HATE.
4. I've had this computer for almost two years, I just backed it up for the first time. :(
5. I have an unhealthy addiction to Dr. Pepper.
6. I will never get tired of Friends re-runs!
7. I spent the last three weeks going through old magazines pulling out the stuff I like and adding them to my idea books(recycling the rest). Something I've wanted to do for at least a year. Only 12 to go!
8. I can't seem to organize my itunes, I try, nothing seems to work. IDEAS?
9. There is no doubt in my mind. Luke is the smartest(not to mention cutest) 2 1/2 year old I know!
10. There are a few movies(Sweet Home Alabama, You've Got Mail, Pride and Prejudice, While You Are Sleeping, Sabrina+) I've seen WAY too many times.
11. I love to knit, but don't do it as often as I would like.
12. I love my itunes genius.
13. I like to sew, I need to work on honing that skill!
14. I don't think high waisted pants work on ANYONE!
15. I can't wait to spend a weekend at the beach!
16. My sister and I are best friends. There was a time I would have told you that would NEVER happen.
17. I need to find a good book to read. Its been a while.
18. I just got a new 5-year journal, it only has six lines per day. That should be doable.....right?
19. I eat way too much chic-fil-a. But, they have the best Dr Pepper!
20. I take a nap almost everyday.
21. I've been told I am in a serious relationship...with the North GA Outlets. It's true!
22. I want a boat, but think maybe the camera should come first!
23. My parents are about to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary and I am torn over what I to get them.
